Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said President Donald Trump’s “economic D-Day” against Iran will fail, dismissing it as a distraction from America’s growing national debt.

Iran accused the United States of “economic terrorism” and “crimes against humanity” on Thursday, after the Donald Trump administration said it would ramp up sanctions to heap pressure on Tehran.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi of Iran dismissed his latest warning, calling it “a diversion” from America’s own crises.
